Mayor's Officer / Chauffeur

We are looking for a professional, reliable and flexible individual to join our Civic and Cermonial team as Mayor's Officer / Chauffeur.

This unique role supports the Mayor, the Borough's First Citizen, in carrying out a busy programme of civic and ceremonial engagements. You will act as personal attendant, chauffeur and ceremonial support officer, ensuring the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are supported with professionalism, discretion and dignity at all times.

• Drive the Mayor to official engagements.
• Support civic and ceremonial events, receptions and functions.
• Advise on and adhere to civic protocol and ceremonial procedures.
• Maintain the mayoral vehicle and civic regalia to a high standard.
• Provide a welcoming and professional service to dignitaries, guests and visitors.
• Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to support the mayoral programme.

You will have:

• A full, clean driving licence and excellent driving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Reliability, discretion and confidentiality.
• The ability to remain calm, adaptable and professional in a changing environment.
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Experience in a chauffeuring role and knowledge of civic or ceremonial protocol would be advantageous.
