Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor in Rushden

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based on a healthcare project in Bedfordshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME), our internal MEP self-delivery design and build business supporting Kier regional businesses across the UK. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll play a vital role in managing commercial resources and maximising project profitability whilst working on a range of challenging projects within key sectors including Custodial, Commercial, Health & Science.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll be leading the day to day commercial delivery for Kier Mechanical & Electrical on your assigned project. Your day to day can include:

• Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through contract placement and control
• Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquiries, tender reviews and order production
• Preparing monthly cost reports, commercial plans and client reports, ensuring accurate forecasting
• Leading and motivating commercial staff, including managing workloads and supporting professional development
• Valuing and measuring change, managing risk and opportunity, and driving margin improvement

Location: Project Based, Bedford.
Hours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) is great for you if:

• You have experience in delivering construction schemes across a range of sectors and a clear understanding of main forms of contract (JCT, NEC etc)
• You have technical understanding of MEPH services, components and package interfaces
• You're organised, proactive and able to handle multiple tasks whilst maintaining accuracy
• You hold SMSTS / CSCS card and a Full driving licence
