The role

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based in Lakenheath, Suffolk.

Join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME), our internal MEP self-delivery design and build business supporting regional businesses across the UK. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll play a key role in managing commercial resources and maximising project success on a new project from PCSA through to completion This is an opportunity to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment, building strong relationships with clients and suppliers whilst driving commercial excellence.

What you'll do

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll be working within the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team, supporting them in delivering successful projects through effective commercial management. Your day to day will include:

Managing commercial activities including valuations, change management, and subcontractor administration to maximise project gross margin
Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquiries, tender reviews and order production
Producing monthly cost reports, risk and opportunity management, and cashflow forecasts
Leading and mentoring junior commercial staff, supporting their development and managing workloads
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders

How you'll work

Location: Lakenheath, Suffolk
Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) is great for you if:

You have demonstrable experience as a quantity surveyor delivering schemes with clear understanding of JCT, NEC and other main forms of contract
You possess technical understanding of MEPH services, components, and how packages are broken out with associated interfaces
You're proactive, collaborative and organised with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently
You're competent in Microsoft Office and excel at forecasting, problem-solving, and building strong relationships with others
