Government & Public Sector Projects
The Opportunity We're looking for a number of Data & Digital Consultants to join a growing consultancy delivering complex programmes across Government and the wider public sector.
This is an interesting role for someone who sits between the customer and technology. You'll need to be technically credible and comfortable working with data, digital solutions and architecture, but equally confident engaging with customers, understanding their problems and turning sometimes ambiguous requirements into solutions that can actually be delivered.
It's deliberately broad. You might currently work in Data Consulting, Technical Consulting, Solution Architecture, Business Analysis or Digital Transformation - what matters is your ability to bring several of these areas together.
The Role You'll work directly with customers and multi-disciplinary technical teams, with responsibilities including:
- Running discovery sessions, workshops and stakeholder interviews
- Understanding business, operational and technical requirements
- Translating requirements into clear data and digital solutions
- Contributing to solution and technical architecture
- Mapping current and future-state processes, information and technology
- Helping shape data strategy, governance, information flows and data products
- Identifying opportunities around analytics, AI, geospatial data and visualisation
- Developing roadmaps and helping take solutions from discovery through to implementation
- Working alongside architects, engineers, analysts and delivery specialists
- Presenting recommendations and technical concepts clearly to senior customer stakeholders
The Person We're looking for people with a broad technical/data background rather than expertise in every area above.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience across data, digital, architecture, information management, analytics or a related technical discipline
- Strong consulting, requirements gathering or Business Analysis skills
- The ability to understand a customer problem and help shape an appropriate technical solution
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary delivery teams
- A background in Government, Defence, Security, Intelligence, military or wider public-sector programmes would be particularly valuable
Existing UK Security Clearance would be beneficial, although suitable candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can be put through the clearance process.
This would suit someone who enjoys remaining close to technology while having considerably more customer interaction, problem solving and influence than a purely technical delivery role.
The role is predominantly home based with travel to London to see clients and occasional (circa 2 x per month) to the offices in West Sussex
