The role

Vets Now Hull are welcoming applications from Out of Hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join their team on a weekend-only basis. Vets Now is the UK's leading provider of emergency veterinary care, with a nationwide network of out of hours clinics and 24/7 emergency hospitals. As part of Inspiring Vet Care, our teams make a difference to pets and their owners when they need us most.

We understand that everyone has different priorities, so we're happy to consider any weekend rota pattern, including days only, nights only or a combination of both. Available shifts include:

Weekend nights: Saturday and Sunday, 18:00-09:00
Saturday days: 12:00-18:30
Sunday days: 08:30-18:30

IVC Evidensia is a veterinary care group operating a network of veterinary practices, ranging from small animal and mixed animal clinics to out-of-hours services and specialist referral hospitals.

Its practices employ veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, animal care assistants and client care teams, and the group runs referral services in areas such as surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine and oncology, alongside emergency and critical care and rotating internship programmes.

About the company & team

You'll be joining a friendly and well-established team, supported by a long-standing group of Registered Veterinary Nurses, some of whom have been with Vets Now for 20 years.

Our Senior Vet, Susana, has led the Hull clinic for 10 years and brings valuable experience in mentorship and coaching. During overnight shifts, you'll work alongside two RVNs and an Animal Care Assistant, with a receptionist on site until 23:00.
