Behind every patient experience is a network of talented colleagues working together to support innovation, growth and outstanding clinical outcomes. As we continue to develop our Joint Venture partnerships and expand our outpatient services, we're looking for a Business Development Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery across our network.

This is an opportunity to join a highly visible team within Physician Services, working closely with consultant partners, senior leaders and operational teams to identify new opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships and support the growth of services that benefit both patients and clinicians. You'll have the chance to influence commercial decisions, contribute to long term growth strategies and work on projects that have a meaningful impact across the business.

Above all else, we're committed to the care and improvement of human life. It's this guiding vision that influences everything we do at HCA UK. From the CEO to the colleagues on the floor we all have a part to play in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Others may think this is just a role in our Physician Services Group team, but to us, you'll be part of a wider team with a unique sense of purpose, one that helps improve lives on a daily basis.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you'll help drive the success and growth of consultant Joint Venture partnerships across HCA UK by:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with consultant investors and partners, ensuring the ongoing success of existing Joint Venture clinics.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase activity, improve performance and maximise return on investment across partnerships.
  • Supporting the development of new Joint Venture opportunities through market analysis, business planning, due diligence and business case development.
  • Working with stakeholders across operational, legal, finance and clinical teams to deliver successful projects and growth initiatives.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to support future business growth strategies.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with exceptional relationship management skills. You'll have:

  • Proven experience within business development, account management or commercial partnership roles.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A track record of identifying, developing and converting business opportunities.
  • Strong presentation, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience producing business cases, proposals and reports.

Experience of strategic planning, mergers, acquisitions or Joint Venture partnerships would be advantageous.

Why HCA UK?

As one of the UK's leading private healthcare providers, we've invested more than £500 million in our facilities, technology and services. We're committed to creating an environment where colleagues feel supported, recognised and able to develop their careers.

In return, you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service
  • Option to buy or sell annual leave
  • Private medical insurance
  • Enhanced pension contributions
  • Life assurance from day one
  • Critical illness cover
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Season ticket loan and Cycle to Work scheme
  • Discounts across a wide range of retailers
  • Access to flexible health and wellbeing benefits
