Today Grind is a multi-channel brand. Alongside our cafés and online business, you’ll find our coffee in major UK supermarkets including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Ocado, and a fast-growing range of pods, beans and ground coffee, instant and ready-to-drink. We’re now taking the quality of our café experience out of home, into workplaces, hotels, travel, leisure and hospitality through the UK’s biggest foodservice distributors and contract caterers.
Based in Shoreditch, we have a team of talented people working on everything from product development to creative production, to customer experience.

Responsibilities.
  • Build and convert a pipeline of national and regional distributor, wholesaler and contract caterer accounts, owning the process from first contact through pitch, negotiation and launch.
  • Grow sales through distribution partners into national accounts across hotels, workplaces, travel and leisure.
  • Develop compelling pitches, buyer-day presentations and sales materials with Marketing, showcasing Grind’s quality, sustainability and brand.
  • Represent Grind at trade shows, supplier days and industry events, using market trends, competitor insights and contract renewal dates to identify opportunities.
  • Own annual and quarterly new-business revenue targets, using Grind’s CRM to forecast sales and report weekly on pipeline, conversion, wins and performance to the Head of Sales and senior leadership.
  • Build strong relationships and joint business plans with key accounts, acting as their main contact and resolving issues quickly.
  • Manage account P&Ls, including pricing, promotions, rebates and trade terms, to deliver profitable growth.
  • Analyse sales and depletion data by account and operator to identify opportunities to grow distribution, product range and rate of sale.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations on forecasting, product availability, new listings and on-time delivery.
  • Deliver product training and support to distributor sales teams and operators, building their knowledge and confidence in selling Grind.

The role

Grind is a coffee company that lives in London. After opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, the brand expanded across London with cafés and a production coffee roastery. 2020 changed Grind beyond recognition and since then we've helped hundreds of thousands of people make better, more sustainable coffee at home. You'll find our pink pods, the UK's first home compostable coffee pods for Nespresso® machines, available online as well as in Waitrose.
Based in Shoreditch, we have a team of talented people working on everything from product development to creative production, to customer experience.
Since 2011 we've been serving flat whites to the people of London from our London cafés, and in 2019 we took Grind online - and since then we've shipped tens of millions of our pink compostable coffee pods to customers around the world.

Since 2023, our Grocery pillar has enabled our products to be an extension of our brand via the UK's top supermarkets. We are bringing the quality of our café experience into everyone's coffee cup - whether they're at home, at work, or on the go. It allows our products to be an extension of our brand.
