The role

Technology is at the core of everything we do, especially in the world of Internet advertising. Sales Engineers are the behind-the-scenes brains for the proposals the Partner Development team pitches to our partners. Your strong software development background, detailed knowledge of web technologies and online advertising are key to working with the engineering and sales teams to create custom solutions for our partners. You are responsible for the entire technical back-end, from interpreting and writing technical specifications to the creation and implementation of the final plan. As the go-to technical expert for the team, you help design the solutions that make our partnerships successful.

In this role, you will be flexible in terms of location across the EMEA region, will primarily focus on driving strategic engagements for customers in Poland, MENA, and the Nordics, as our main priority is finding the right applicant with the technical depth and executive presence to lead these complex transformations.

In this role, you will work as a Migration and Transformation Architect within Google Cloud's Migrate, Modernize and Build (MMB) practice. You will partner with Account Teams and enterprise C-suites, turn legacy estates into executable Google Cloud transformations. You will act as the strategic bridge between a company's legacy state and its future goal, reshape how technology enables business value rather than just moving workloads or upgrading systems.

In this role, you will evaluate complex, fragmented ecosystems and design the blueprints to migrate them whether to the cloud, modern infrastructures, or new digital platforms. Simultaneously, you will drive the transformation aspect, ensuring that processes, architectures, and engineering practices evolve so the organization can scale efficiently, reduce technical debt, and innovate faster.Google Cloud accelerates every organization's ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google's technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

What you'll do

  • Act as the single architectural point of accountability for Google Cloud's largest, most complex multi-workload enterprise migrations (e.g., Oracle, SAP, VMware, Mainframes).
  • Lead the charge by coordinating Customer Engineering Specialists, Sales Specialists, Google Cloud Consulting (GCC), and System Integrators (SIs) to eliminate technical silos for the account team.
  • Provide direct architectural leadership on massive, long-term deals for Tier-1 EMEA enterprises, partnering with Account Teams and C-suites to turn complex legacy estates into executable cloud transformations.
  • Reshape how technology enables business value rather than just moving workloads, by designing target architectures, evaluating Engagement Requests against STRIKE criteria, and building comprehensive TCO/ROI business cases.
  • Work on high-stakes, long-term deals and accelerate under-commit consumption by packaging dormant workloads into executable blueprints, driving adoption for strategic EMEA customers across various industries.
