The role
We're looking for experienced Senior Solution Architects to join our Architecture and Technology Consulting Practice in London, UK in a hybrid working mode.
In this role, you will sit at the vital intersection of client engagements, modern cloud environments, and legacy modernisation, where sound technical decisions shape the future of enterprise systems. You'll bring a strong engineering background, sound architectural judgement, and the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
We value clear practical decision-making, hands-on technical credibility, and end-to-end ownership through implementation. You will decide how architectural choices balance rapid innovation with long-term feasibility, security, and operational resilience. Experience across industries is welcome, and the impact of your leadership will be felt in the strength and adaptability of every solution delivered.
What you'll do
- Translate business goals into robust solution designs and achievable delivery plans across client engagements
- Own architectural decisions from discovery and high-level design through implementation, testing and go-live
- Evaluate options and clearly articulate technical trade-offs around cost, complexity, security, performance and maintainability
- Work hands-on with engineering teams to validate designs through prototypes, Proofs of Concept (POCs) and core implementation
- Guide cloud adoption, integration patterns and the modernisation of existing or legacy systems
- Communicate effectively with technical development teams as well as senior business and executive stakeholders
- Provide technical governance, conduct design reviews, resolve complex technical challenges and mentor colleagues
- Support pre-sales activities, client workshops and contribute to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and architecture proposals
- Ensure solutions balance rapid innovation with long-term technical feasibility, operational resilience and maintainability
- Represent technical best practices and help foster a strong architecture culture within the UK practice
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven solution architecture experience in a senior or lead capacity, backed by a strong software engineering foundation ideally gained in a consulting company environment
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex, enterprise-grade systems into production
- Practical, hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), modern APIs, integration patterns and Data/AI architecture
- Ability to define, address and audit non-functional requirements such as security, resilience, scalability and operational performance
- Confidence making critical technical decisions and guiding stakeholders through ambiguity with incomplete information
- Strong pre-sales acumen, including experience with client presentations, RFPs and building architectural proposals
- Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading, guiding or mentoring distributed engineering and architecture teams to improve delivery performance
