Lead-level role.
This is an opportunity to join an outstanding team at the forefront of AI research and development. We're seeking an exceptional editorial leader and writer to serve as the driving behind the DeepMind Institute's (DMI) publishing desk. This role plays a crucial part in translating frontier AI research into accessible, narratives, setting the intellectual benchmark and overarching tone for the Institute's voice.
This role involves a unique dual mandate: crafting compelling, flagship content as a executive technical writer, while simultaneously providing editorial mentorship to a team of writers and researchers. Partnering directly with the Managing Director, you will shape complex arguments, unblock intellectual hurdles, and ensure the seamless execution of our publication roadmap.
You will collaborate closely with teams across the organisation, including operations, communications, subject matter experts, and executive leadership. Navigating a changing, matrixed environment, you will act as the ultimate quality-assurance gatekeeper, ensuring our groundbreaking discoveries are evidenced, flawlessly presented, and brought to life for a variety of critical audiences.
Artificial intelligence will be one of humanity's most transformative inventions. At Google DeepMind, we are a pioneering AI lab with exceptional interdisciplinary teams focused on advancing AI development to solve complex global challenges and accelerate high-quality product innovation for billions of users. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, ensuring safety and ethics are always our highest priority.
