The role

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Haematology at our state-of-the-art cancer care centre in Bristol? Join our dedicated team at GenesisCare UK and be part of something extraordinary.

As part of a wider investment in our Clinical Nurse Specialist services across the UK, we're expanding our specialist nursing teams to provide even greater support to patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haematology, you'll play a pivotal role in providing specialist nursing care, clinical expertise and personalised support to patients undergoing treatment for haematological cancers.

Working closely with our consultants and multidisciplinary teams, you'll help patients and their families navigate often complex treatment pathways, ensuring they receive coordinated, compassionate and evidence-based care.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued development of our haematology service in Bristol, helping strengthen specialist nursing provision and shape the patient experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Act as the designated Key Worker for patients undergoing treatment for haematological cancers, coordinating care and providing ongoing specialist support.
  • Undertake comprehensive holistic needs assessments, develop individualised care plans and monitor patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Provide specialist advice and education on treatment pathways, symptom management, potential complications and supportive care.
  • Collaborate closely with haematology consultants, systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support nurse-led clinics and provide patients and their families with clear, compassionate guidance throughout treatment.
  • Contribute to the development of specialist haematology pathways, clinical standards and quality improvement initiatives across GenesisCare.

What You'll Have:
  • Registered Adult Nurse with relevant post-registration experience, ideally within haematology, haemato-oncology or cancer care.
  • A relevant degree and post-registration qualification in cancer care, palliative care or a related subject.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of haematological malignancies, associated treatments and supportive care requirements.
  • Experience managing complex patient needs and providing evidence-based, personalised nursing care.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to support patients and families through challenging and emotionally sensitive situations.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or in a similar advanced practice role would be advantageous.
