This is a key leadership role for someone who knows transport inside out. You'll take responsibility for compliance, fleet performance, driver leadership, safety and cost, making sure our operation delivers every day.

What you'll do

As Depot Transport Manager, you'll have real ownership of the transport function. You will:

Lead and develop the driving team, creating a high-performing, safe and engaged operation.

Own transport compliance, including O Licence requirements, drivers' hours, tachographs, CPC, vehicle maintenance and regulatory documentation.

Plan fleet and driver resource around forecast volumes, including robust plans for peak and operational challenges.

Drive safety and quality, reducing accidents, near misses and vehicle damage through effective controls, investigations and follow-up.

Manage transport costs and fleet performance, identifying route efficiencies and controlling fuel, maintenance, repairs and Vehicle Off Road activity.

Work closely with the wider depot team to deliver strong service, cost, people and quality results.

What we're looking for

You'll already have solid experience managing a fast-paced transport operation and, importantly, you'll understand what great compliance looks like.
