Ready to build on your dual-site management experience and lead a growing portfolio across Devon and Cornwall? Apply today.
The role
Are you an experienced dental clinic leader with a proven track record of managing multiple clinics at the same time?
Due to continued growth, Envisage Dental has an exciting opportunity for a Cluster Manager to lead a growing portfolio of clinics across Devon and Cornwall. You will initially take responsibility for Tavistock and Barnstaple (which have Clinic Managers in place), with further clinics joining your portfolio over time in line with acquisitions across both counties.
Previous dual-site dental clinic management experience is essential. This opportunity will allow you to build on that experience and develop your career in wider multi-site leadership, with support from our experienced operational and central teams.
You should be based within Devon or Cornwall, within reasonable travelling distance of Tavistock and Barnstaple. The remit covers both Devon and Cornwall, and you must be willing and able to travel regularly across both counties as the portfolio grows. There is an opportunity to work from home when clinic needs and your responsibilities allow; regular attendance at your clinics remains a core part of the role.
You will lead the operational and commercial performance of your clinics, helping teams deliver exceptional patient care, build strong working relationships and achieve sustainable growth.
Your initial clinics, Tavistock and Barnstaple, each have a Clinic Manager in place. You will lead, coach and support these managers, with overall responsibility for performance across the portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role: when needed, you will be expected to step into the Clinic Manager role temporarily to provide cover and maintain continuity of day-to-day operations. As we welcome further clinics across Devon and Cornwall into the group, you will support their integration, with the same flexibility to provide management cover where required.
What you'll do
- Leading and supporting teams across your clinics, creating a positive environment where colleagues and clinicians can thrive.
- Leading, coaching and supporting the Clinic Managers at each site, building their capability and clear accountability, and stepping into the Clinic Manager role temporarily to provide cover when required.
- Working with clinicians and clinic teams to deliver an outstanding patient journey.
- Taking responsibility for clinic performance, including budgets, revenue, costs and profitability.
- Turning clinic priorities into practical plans that improve patient experience, operational efficiency and commercial results.
- Supporting recruitment, development and retention, working closely with our Talent and People teams.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and patient safety alongside clinical and central support colleagues.
- Helping newly acquired clinics across Devon and Cornwall integrate into the group, building trust and supporting teams through change as your portfolio grows.
What we can offer
- A competitive salary, car allowance and performance-based annual bonus.
- The opportunity to build on your dual-site management experience and grow into a wider multi-site leadership remit across Devon and Cornwall.
- Support from experienced operational leaders and central teams.
- Autonomy to make a meaningful difference across your clinics.
- A collaborative culture with access to senior leadership.
- The opportunity to grow your responsibilities as our presence in Devon and Cornwall expands, with flexibility to work from home when clinic needs allow.
About you
You are an experienced dental clinic leader with a strong track record of managing at least two clinics simultaneously, developing managers and teams, and improving operational and commercial performance.
You will be comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and providing hands-on support. You will balance this practical support with your wider responsibility for the performance and development of clinics across Devon and Cornwall.
You will bring
- An engaging, approachable leadership style and the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, monitoring performance and delivering improvements.
- A clear understanding of dental compliance and the importance of high-quality patient care.
- The ability to balance priorities across different teams and locations.
- A proactive, practical approach to solving problems.
- Confidence working with clinicians, clinic colleagues and central support teams.
