Salary: £400 - 450 per day

Rate: £400-£450 per day (Inside IR35)

Carrington West is recruiting a Site Engineer with a structures focus for a National Highways scheme in Gloucester. You'll join a delivery team working on a major highways improvement project. Your focus will be the setting-out, supervision and quality control of structures works, such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls and reinforced concrete elements.

• Set out and survey structures works using GPS, total station and level
• Supervise reinforced concrete works on site, including formwork, steel fixing and concrete pours
• Check works against drawings, specifications and the Specification for Highway Works (SHW)
• Complete and keep up quality records, including ITPs, pour records, as-builts and handover documents
• Work with subcontractors, temporary works coordinators and design teams to make sure works are delivered safely and correctly
• Raise technical queries and resolve design issues with the project team
• Follow health, safety and environmental standards, including RAMS briefings and site inspections
• Keep accurate daily diaries, progress records and quantities
