Are you an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Site Supervisor looking for your next contract on a major Northern Ireland Water framework?
You'll be working for the appointed delivery partner on NI Water's PC21 Supply Framework. Two years remain on the current framework, and they're already tendering for the next five-year term. The work ranges from new-build capital schemes to planned maintenance at Clean Water and Wastewater facilities. These are brand-new roles, so this is a good time to join a growing business that values its people.
As a Mechanical & Electrical Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for site operations. You'll direct and organise site activities so that the planned work is delivered safely and on time.
You will be:
- Delivering projects on programme, safely, and to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
- Making sure a competent workforce, including subcontractors, is in place for all site activities.
- Carrying out site inspections to check Health & Safety compliance with the relevant legislation.
- Compiling and recording site documentation, including inductions, permits to work, RAMS and safety briefings.
- Delivering RAMS briefings, site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Making sure subcontractors manage health and safety on site, including all daily inspections and pre-use checks.
- Doing quality checks against the contract specification and statement of requirements, and keeping accurate records of site resources, materials and plant.
- Keeping site diaries and allocations, records of subcontractor activities and subcontractor performance reports.
- Working with clients, consultants and subcontractors on all site activities.
To be considered, you will need:
- A strong understanding of programme delivery, good knowledge of construction techniques and a working knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Familiarity with the relevant construction legislation, including HSEQ.
- Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets with a focus on quality and cost control.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and IT skills.
- An HNC or above, preferably in an engineering discipline.
- SMSTS, SSSTS or an equivalent NVQ.
- CSCS or SHEA.
- First Aid.
- CDM awareness.
- Confined Space (Medium Risk).
- A full valid driving licence.
This Mechanical & Electrical Site Supervisor role is a chance to join a long-term water programme in Northern Ireland, working for a contractor in a period of growth.
