Business Development Manager - Financial Services & Insurance

We're looking for a talented Business Development Manager to act as a strategic advisor to our Financial Services and Insurance Target Market Group, driving client acquisition, retention and market profile across a key sector.

The role

As a Business Development Manager, you'll serve as the primary strategic partner to our Financial Services and Insurance Target Market Group Lead and Group, advising on market strategy and recommending client care, business development and marketing initiatives. This is a proactive, hands-on role in which you'll take ownership of agreeing strategy and deliverables with the TMG Leads and executing on them successfully, whilst fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. You'll also lead on business development activities for our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) services - a key focus area for the TMG - collaborating with fee earners across other Target Market Groups to promote our offering and expertise.

What you'll be doing

Acting as a trusted strategic adviser to the TMG Lead and wider group, co-chairing TMG meetings, adding insights, challenging partners appropriately and making recommendations to shape market strategy.

Driving client acquisition, retention and development - working closely with the bids and client relationship teams, identifying new business opportunities, and providing proactive, expert BD advice on how to target and win them.

Overseeing the TMG's external marketing and profile-raising activity - including website, PR, social media, email marketing, events and sponsorships - ensuring all activity is strategically aligned, on-brand and delivers measurable value.
