Based at Thorncliffe Park, you will help coordinate occupational health activities, keeping appointments, records and communication running smoothly.

Working closely with employees, managers, external occupational health providers, HR and Health & Safety, you will support everything from health surveillance and workplace vaccinations to referrals and wellbeing initiatives. This is an opportunity to use your coordination skills to make a practical difference, helping colleagues access the support they need while maintaining accurate, confidential records.

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW - located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate occupational health appointments, maintain schedules and follow-ups, and arrange timely referrals to external occupational health providers.
  • Support workplace vaccination programmes by arranging appointments and clinics, tracking vaccination status and providing reminders to employees.
  • Assist with occupational health referrals, fitness-for-work assessments and return-to-work plans, supporting HR and managers with documentation and recommended workplace adjustments.
  • Help deliver and promote wellbeing campaigns, programmes and events covering mental health, physical health and healthy lifestyles.
  • Maintain secure, accurate and GDPR-compliant records, produce routine reports and support occupational health reviews, procedures and improvement activities.
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for occupational health administration queries, working with employees, managers, providers, HR, Health & Safety and operational teams to provide joined-up support.

What sets you up for success

  • Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, Health & Safety, wellbeing or occupational health support role.
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills, with experience scheduling appointments and working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and databases.
  • Clear communication, a collaborative approach and the initiative to take ownership of tasks and follow through on commitments.
  • Willingness to work towards a qualification in Occupational Health Support, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • A willingness to continue developing your knowledge of health, safety and wellbeing.
