The role

Business Analyst - Trade Surveillance Remediation, Markets Platform

London 25 Gresham Street - hybrid 2 days per week.

What you'll do

The Customer Journey Manager supports the end-to-end design, alignment and improvement of Trade Surveillance journeys across the Markets Platform. The role translates regulatory obligations, risk remediation and business growth requirements into prioritised, deliverable change, ensuring surveillance impacts, dependencies and risks are identified early.

Working across Product, Engineering, Data and COO Surveillance, the CJM connects business requirements with technology delivery to support effective surveillance coverage, regulatory commitments and strategic priorities.

  • Own and maintain the end-to-end Trade Surveillance journey, spanning trading activity, product coverage, data ingestion and quality, alert generation, tuning and investigation outcomes.
  • Maintain journey maps, process flows and requirements that link business intent to technical implementation.
  • Identify capability gaps, process inefficiencies, data issues and potential surveillance risks, supporting appropriate remediation.
  • Support alignment across Trading Hub, Surveillance and data platforms, including ODP/FDP where applicable.
  • Identify dependencies, integration points and sequencing risks, ensuring surveillance requirements are considered early in platform and product change.
  • Support surveillance readiness for new products, venues, asset classes and trading strategies through onboarding and approval processes.
  • Support integrated planning across regulatory commitments, risk remediation and business growth demand.
  • Partner with Product Owners to shape backlogs, define acceptance criteria and sequence work according to risk, priority, dependencies and delivery capacity.
  • Track progress, highlight delivery constraints and escalate risks or gaps through established governance, providing clear, outcome-focused updates.
  • Work across business, technology, data and surveillance teams to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity and align delivery outcomes.
  • Use evidence and analysis to identify improvement opportunities, assess proposals and support informed decisions.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate complex issues effectively to technical, business and governance audiences.

Success Measures

  • Surveillance requirements embedded early in product and platform change.
  • Clear visibility and proactive management of cross-platform dependencies and risks.
  • Transparent prioritisation aligned to regulatory commitments, risk and business demand.
  • Improved delivery alignment through clear requirements, acceptance criteria and ownership.
  • Surveillance readiness and coverage gaps identified early, reducing avoidable rework and late regulatory surprises.
