About the company & team

The Specialist Team Manager will join Warwickshire's Home Finding Hub, based predominantly at the Pears Centre in Bedworth. We are a busy team with a rewarding purpose: finding homes for children who cannot remain with their families or significant others, where they can feel safe, cared for and loved.

We work closely with social workers to ensure referrals provide a balanced picture of each child and capture their voice. Strong relationships with our internal children's homes, commissioning colleagues and external providers are central to our work. You will share Hub duty management responsibilities with another manager, who supervises the Hub's social workers and the wraparound team providing direct support to children. As duty manager, you will provide matrix management to the social workers responsible for finding internal homes for children. You will also directly supervise five Referral and Placement Officers, who coordinate all external searches for foster care, residential provision, short breaks and supported accommodation.

Now is an exciting time to be part of our team as Warwickshire begins to embed our Families First teams who support the young people in our County. Our approach is about locality working, multi disciplinary and multi agency teams that support the whole family. Building strong partnerships with local services, Health, Police and Education.
