The role

kitchen porter | part time

at wagamama, food is life. our kitchens are all about fresh food, prioritising good ingredients and serving dishes that are made to order every time. as a kitchen porter, you're the backbone of the kitchen - keeping everything clean, organised, and running smoothly so the team can focus on cooking up bold flavours

What you'll do

keeping the kitchen sparkling clean and ready for action
washing pots, pans and equipment so chefs can keep cooking
restocking cleaning supplies and flagging when we're running low
jumping in to help with basic prep when needed
following health and safety standards to keep yourself and the team safe

A phone chat lasting up to 30 minutes, a chance to tell them about yourself, hear about wagamama and ask questions.
Your discovery session
With one of our restaurant managers · In person
A face-to-face session in a restaurant lasting around 2 hours: experiencing a live service, trying simple tasks, tasting the food, meeting the team, plus a relaxed chat with a restaurant manager.
Your final interview
With one of our area managers · Video call · Not every role
A more in-depth conversation, usually with an area manager, exploring experience, approach and what the candidate could bring. Only for assistant general manager, general manager, senior sous chef and head chef roles.

After an offer, onboarding documents and the contract are completed digitally via a text link.
Discovery session candidates get a free meal and a £30 voucher afterwards.
