The role

The Bodleian Libraries' Collections Management team supports access to world-class research collections. In this role, you will help deliver the Inter-Library Loans service, processing borrowing and lending requests, managing renewals and returns, responding to enquiries and liaising with libraries in the UK and overseas.

You will also support invoicing, accurate record-keeping and service improvements.

This is a permanent, full-time post, working 36.5 hours per week.

About You

You will have excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills, with experience of responding to enquiries and maintaining accurate records.

You will be confident using IT systems, working independently and collaboratively, and managing competing priorities.

Experience of library services or inter-library loans would be advantageous.

Hiring process

You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting evidence form using the attached template as part of your online application. Your supporting evidence form should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain how you meet each one. CVs alone will not be considered.

We aim to provide a supportive working environment and are happy to discuss training and professional development opportunities. The Chair of this recruitment panel will be Joanne Booker, Collections Management Response Team Leader, who can be contacted with enquiries relating to the role (joanne.booker@bodleian.ox.ac.uk). General queries about the recruitment and application process should be directed to the GLAM Recruitment team (recruitment@glam.ox.ac.uk).

Only applications received online by 12.00 midday (GMT) on Wednesday 25 November 2026 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place on 10 or 11 December.
