This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

Join the Professional Development Unit as a Senior Administrator and play a key role in supporting the delivery of professional skills, vocational training and work-based learning activities across the University. The role provides professional administrative support with a particular focus on governance, compliance, quality assurance and operational processes, helping to ensure services are delivered efficiently, effectively and in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.

This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. The Professional Development Unit is a collaborative and supportive team committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of learners, employers and University stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience of working in an administrative or operational support role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience of working effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and information management systems.

In return, we offer:

  • A hybrid working arrangement with a blend of home and campus working.
  • Generous holiday entitlement of 27 days per year (rising to 30 days after five years' service), plus bank holidays and University closure days.
  • Access to reward and recognition schemes.
  • Ongoing training, development and career progression opportunities.
  • A wide range of staff benefits including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts, travel schemes and much more.
