The role

The key aspect of this role is to provide accurate, responsive administrative support for assessment and progression activities across the MBA & Global Programmes, helping students move successfully through each stage of their academic journey. The successful candidate will achieve this by maintaining high-quality student records, assisting with processing marks and progression data, supporting Examination Boards and disciplinary panels, responding to enquiries, and working closely with colleagues across programme delivery and student services.

By combining excellent organisation and attention to detail with proactive, inclusive customer service, you will help ensure fair outcomes, smooth programme delivery and a positive student experience. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys varied work, collaborative problem-solving and making a visible difference to students in a dynamic, internationally focused environment. A flexible, adaptable and proactive approach is vital given the blended/distance learning nature of the programmes that are delivered and the challenges that can arise as a result.

Based within the MBA & Global Programmes team at Alliance Manchester Business School, the role operates in a collaborative environment supporting the delivery of flexible, blended and distance-learning programmes. Within the assessment and progression team, you will assist with the team across the Global, Full Time and Financial management programmes. This involves working closely with colleagues in programme managed & delivery, student support, scheduling and academic teams. The post helps coordinate consistent and responsive support across the student journey. As part of the wider University of Manchester, the role contributes to shared standards, policies and continuous improvement, connecting School-level activity with the University's commitment to an inclusive, high- quality student experience.
