PPC Executive (Google Ads)

About us

At The Cotswold Company, we make beautiful, well-made furniture for homes that are lived in. We're a B Corp, and we back our pieces with a 15-year guarantee, because we believe good things should last.

Most of our customers find us online. Paid search plays a big part in that, and we're now bringing more of it in-house. That's where you come in.

The role

This is a chance to help build something, not just run it. You'll join our Performance team, reporting to the Senior Performance Manager, as we move PPC from agency to in-house.

Your first big project is Value-Based Bidding in Google Ads. It means using smarter data signals to find the customers who matter most, not just the most clicks. You'll work alongside our data and engineering colleagues to bring it to life, test it properly and show what it delivers.

It's hands-on and varied. It's also a role that will grow as AI-led search grows.

What you'll do

  • Run and optimise our Google Ads campaigns, focused on revenue and return on ad spend
  • Help develop and launch Value-Based Bidding with our data and engineering teams
  • Set up, run and report on campaign tests, with clear control and test groups
  • Turn complex data and AI recommendations into practical campaign decisions
  • Keep a close eye on performance and suggest improvements early
  • Help shape our in-house PPC capability as we move away from agency support
  • Work with Finance, Merchandising and Engineering to keep budgets, data and campaigns on track

What you'll bring

  • 2+ years' hands-on PPC experience in Google Ads, from set-up to optimisation and reporting
  • A good grasp of performance metrics, budgets and forecasting
  • Experience designing A/B or multivariate tests in paid search
  • Confidence with GA4 and strong Excel skills
  • An analytical mind, a good eye for detail, and real curiosity about AI and data tools
  • A clear, friendly way of working with technical and non-technical colleagues

Nice to have

  • Experience with advanced or AI-driven bidding strategies
  • Exposure to server-side tracking, Google Tag Manager or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with SA360, BigQuery or Vertex AI
  • Data modelling or predictive analytics experience
  • Google Ads certification

What's in it for you

  • Salary of up to £40,000 dependent on experience
  • Colleague discount of 25%, increasing to 50% upon passing probation
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra day off for your birthday every year
  • Access to our employee assistance programme
  • Access to dental and health schemes
  • Pension Scheme
