Field Service Engineer in Glasgow

As a installation Engineer at Stiltz Homelifts, you will install, service and repair our homelifts in customers' homes. One day you could be fitting a brand-new Stiltz Homelift. The next, you could be fault finding on a breakdown and getting a customer moving again.

You will home based as a mobile engineer, covering Scotland and the north of England. You will work independently day to day, backed by a friendly engineering team and full training from your first week.

Our engineers come from many backgrounds, including automotive, telecoms, manufacturing, rail, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and field service. If your skills are practical and technical, they will transfer.

• Install our award-winning Stiltz Homelifts in customers' homes

• Carry out planned servicing and maintenance

• Diagnose faults and complete repairs on electrical and mechanical systems

• Respond to breakdown call-outs on a rota 1-4 (Saturday and Sunday only)

• Look after your van stock, tools and equipment

• Give every customer a friendly, professional experience

Location: Glasgow

Schedule: 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri)

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

No product experience needed - we provide full training. If you have mechanical or electrical skills and enjoy solving problems, we would love to hear from you.

About the role

You don't need experience in homelifts specifically. If you have experience working with mechanical or electrical equipment or transferable technical skill and a positive, practical approach to work, we'll provide full training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

• Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical equipment, from work, an apprenticeship or a trade

• A full driving licence valid in the UK, as you will drive a company van

• Confidence working on your own and explaining things clearly to customers

• Flexibility to travel across the region, with occasional overnight stays

• A technical qualification such as an NVQ, SVQ or HNC is useful but NOT essential.

The role is a hands-on, physical role involves lifting and working in different areas of customers' homes. We provide full manual handling training.
