Project Commercial Director

You will be working in the Commercial team, apart of our Infrastructure OU based in Watford, where our team brings design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.

We are currently looking for a Project Commercial Director who will successfully deliver the financial, commercial, safety, environmental, quality and ethical targets for the project in partnership with the Project Director.

As the Project Commercial Director, you will:

• Be accountable for the organisational design of the commercial, risk, controls & procurement functions on the project.
• Lead the delivery of profit expectation in a culture of outperform, with profit and loss accountability for the project.
• Jointly lead with Pre Construction the commercial strategy for each opportunity assigned to you, ensuring the reported margins and most likely margins support the outcome of the strategy.
• Liaise closely with operational and financial management to ensure transparency of reporting of the cost and value bases, jointly responsible for the project's quarterly financial reporting processes.
• Develop winning strategies for project opportunities utilising customer knowledge and relationships, balanced with Skanska's core capabilities.
• Provide leadership, development, and direction for the project commercial team, providing knowledge, expertise and support to drive consistent performance and culture.

• Professionally qualified to an appropriate related body.
• Excellent working knowledge of contract conditions and contract law and their administration.
• Experience of winning projects in a tier 1 corporate governance structure.
• Demonstrable skills and experience in all aspects of financial, commercial and project management, and financial/business acumen.
• Demonstrable people leadership and creating high performing teams and robust succession plans.
