At Siemens Asset Management Software, we help organizations transform maintenance and operations through connected insights, AI-powered technology, and intelligent asset management solutions. Our software enables customers to manage the full lifecycle of assets, facilities, and infrastructure while improving efficiency, reducing risk, and optimizing long-term investments. By connecting data, people, and processes, we empower organizations to make smarter decisions, maximize asset performance, and achieve more resilient operations.
Job overview
The Product Owner is a crucial member of our cross-functional squads, turning Product Management's roadmap and business strategy into well-specified, high-value solutions for Confirm, our asset management solution serving primarily government clients. You will own the Feature backlog and the Feature Requirements Document (FRD) across multiple squads, and make sure work is ready to be pulled and delivered with minimal ambiguity. In this senior role, you will work AI-natively as part of your everyday process, indirectly lead individuals and teams, communicate with management and executives, and work with leadership from Engineering, Product Management and UX.
You'll make an impact by
• Raising the bar for the Product Owner team by sharing what works, coaching others, and helping the people around you succeed.
• Turning validated market problems into clear, well-specified Features that advance measurable customer and business outcomes, in close partnership with Product Management, UX and Engineering.
• Keeping squads supplied with ready, prioritized work, so engineers can deliver without ambiguity or delay.
• Using AI, including Claude and our agentic pipelines, to produce high-quality requirements faster, and owning the quality of everything you produce.
• Building a deep understanding of government clients and how they use Confirm, through discovery with customers and Client Success.
• Spotting risks and blockers early, raising them quickly, and getting the right people involved so that squads keep moving.
• Using data, including Pendo adoption insights and flow metrics, to judge whether what we shipped worked and where to improve next.
• Understand Product Management's business strategy, and evangelizing/executing it with agile development teams.
• Improving our Way of Working: following our processes, and changing them when you find a simpler or better way, so the whole organization benefits.
• Representing your squads in management reviews and presentations as needed.
This is how you'll win us over
• Significant experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager.
• Day-to-day, hands-on fluency with AI tools such as Claude for drafting requirements, analysis and refinement, a track record of improving how a team works with them, and the judgment to review and own what you produce.
• Proficiency with Jira, GitHub-based documentation workflows, and Pendo for product analytics.
• Expert at writing clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria and communicating business value to engineering.
• Expert in Agile and Lean principles, including Kanban-style pull-based flow. Certification is recommended.
• Consistent experience working with engineering on communicating commitments and delivering results.
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze data to support decisions and measure outcomes.
• Experience influencing product development teams and driving them toward a common customer and business vision through to delivery.
• A results-oriented, proactive, and self-sufficient work ethic.
• Experience with government or public-sector software is a plus.
Working arrangement: Hybrid, based in Chatham, UK, with low travel.
