Head of Multi Occupancy Asset Strategy

This is an opportunity to take ownership of one of SGN's most significant emerging asset-management challenges.
The scale of the task extends beyond delivering a replacement programme. SGN needs to establish the complete asset population, understand its condition and risk, determine the appropriate engineering interventions and turn that understanding into a sustainable programme that Operations can deliver.
The current analysis shows that achieving a fully recorded and risk-assessed asset population will materially increase survey, assurance, design and replacement workloads.
The Head of MOBs will therefore have the opportunity to build the capability, strategy and delivery model that will shape how SGN manages MOB assets throughout GD3 and beyond.

The role will:
Lead and develop a small specialist MOB team covering asset assessment, programme development, design/scoping and programme management.
Build strong working relationships with Operations, while maintaining clarity that operational execution is delivered through the appropriate operational teams.
Establish clear ownership, accountability and decision-making throughout the MOB lifecycle.
Build the specialist capability required to manage what is expected to be a substantial GD3 programme.
Develop an open, evidence-led and safety-focused culture in which emerging risks are identified and acted upon early.
