The role
At Severn Trent, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're in the top 5% of utility companies worldwide for employee engagement, and we're equally proud of our strong Glassdoor score, reflecting how much our people love working here. Join us to make a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace. If you want to do more, because you care, we want you on our team.
As an Assistant Programme Manager in our Mains Renewal Programme, you'll help deliver schemes across the East region, covering Leicestershire and Warwickshire. Working in a team of eight, you'll manage schemes from planning through to delivery, coordinating resources, equipment, materials, costs and documentation.
You'll work closely with construction teams, Project Co-ordinators and Community Liaison Officers, keeping programmes on track and customers informed. You'll also manage scheme costs, compliance and documentation, support delivery changes and coach Project Co-ordinators.
How you'll work
This is a 37-hour-per-week role, Monday to Friday.
You'll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That's why we value in-person moments to keep our culture alive and why for this role you'll usually find us in the office during our working hours.

• Experience within the utility or water sector
• Experience managing relationships with multiple external organisations and government bodies
• An Association for Project Management (APM) qualification
• Excellent understanding of CDM regulations
• Strong communication, influencing, time management and prioritisation skills
• A full UK driving licence, as you'll travel between sites across the region
