Nice to have
Experience of investigating fraudulent claims in the field and/or experience in handling a portfolio of general domestic/commercial claims with an interest in fraud are a pre-requisite for this role.
By joining Sedgwick, you'll be part of something truly meaningful. It's what our 33,000 colleagues do every day for people around the world who are facing the unexpected. We invite you to grow your career with us, experience our caring culture, and enjoy work-life balance. Here, there's no limit to what you can achieve.
The role will be to investigate a portfolio of commercial claims that have been identified as potentially fraudulent. You'll be responsible for managing your own case load and carrying out necessary investigations and field visits whilst gathering evidence. Additionally, you`ll need to maintain constant contact with our policy holders, making sure you take accurate statements and records. Before each case is closed, you'll be responsible for completing price enquires, negotiating settlements, communicating repudiations and issuing reports to insurers.
You will also be in contact with third parties such as credit reference agencies and the police by various media, so an essential part of this role will be to keep abreast of current legislation and codes of practice as they relate to insurance investigations.
