The RSM Early Careers Talent Acquisition team (ECTA) is responsible for hiring approximately 800 students annually onto our graduate, school leaver and placement programmes as well as through work experience and internships. The Early Careers Talent Acquisition team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the firm is attracting and selecting high quality, diverse candidates in line with our 'Grow our Own' initiative. Our goal is to provide a seamless efficient experience to both candidates applying for our programmes and our internal stakeholders at every stage of the recruitment journey.

What you'll do

We are looking for an Early Careers Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our Early Careers team on a 12 month secondment. In this role you will play a key role in enabling Early Careers to deliver high‑volume recruitment while maintaining an exceptional experience for everyone involved. You will act as a reliable point of contact for applicants, guiding them through each stage of the recruitment process and supporting them from offer through to their first day at RSM.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Early Careers and the wider People team to ensure every candidate's journey is consistent, supportive, and seamless.

You will be required to travel to other national RSM offices and attend external events (including occasional evening events) as part of this role throughout the year.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Hosting virtual assessment centres (VAC), cultivating a welcoming and supportive environment where candidates can learn about the firm and line of business, and ensuring assessments are completed in a timely fashion with minimal disruption
  • Maintaining contact with candidates from VAC confirmation to their first day in the business, developing rapport and acting as a RSM ambassador
  • Contacting candidates by phone and email to answer queries and request any additional information, delivering an excellent candidate experience at every stage and following guidance on reasonable adjustments where appropriate
  • Facilitating and coordinating assessor wash‑up sessions following VACs, ensuring feedback is collated, decisions are accurately recorded, and appropriate actions are taken. This includes ensuring feedback is objective and that the process is applied consistently across all candidates
  • Providing tailored feedback to candidates regarding their VAC performance, outlining next steps (if appropriate)
  • Liaising with the wider early careers team and members of the business, to support final interview scheduling for those who have passed VAC stage
  • Delivering verbal offers, issuing offer documentation as required and provide ongoing candidate support, remaining their primary point of contact until their first day
  • Proactively engaging candidates to minimise reneges and ensure continued commitment through to their start date
  • Working closely with the People Operations and Early Careers Preboarding teams to ensure each candidate has a consistent, well‑supported and smooth post‑offer experience
  • Regularly reporting on numbers of VAC and final interview invitations and confirmed candidates, as well as dropouts, articulating them clearly to your line manager, and other members of the leadership team and business upon request. Flagging any areas of concern or candidates outside of SLA
