The role

Pharma Events Operations Manager (Remote | £55,000 - £60,000)

Love the buzz of global healthcare events and congresses, but ready to trade the suitcase and endless travel for a better work-life balance? If you've mastered pharma compliance and love getting operations and processes humming like clockwork, this brand-new, home-based role is your ultimate career pivot!

What's Different About This Role?

  • Zero travel: Enjoy a truly remote, home-based position where you can ditch the airport queues while staying connected to international healthcare projects.
  • Scale and impact: Step into a brand-new position sitting right in the Production team to oversee a massive footprint-30 congresses for the remainder of this year and a staggering 300 scheduled for next year.
  • Culture of belonging: Work with a friendly, energetic, and multi-award-winning agency that blends a supportive remote culture with amazing perks like 32 days holiday, private healthcare, and a work-from-anywhere program.

What You'll Bring:

  • Industry expertise: A solid background in healthcare events, congresses, or pharmaceutical programme management.
  • Compliance know-how: In-depth knowledge of HCP engagement requirements and experience interpreting and applying country-specific healthcare industry codes and regulations.
  • Process & data mastery: Advanced Excel skills and a proven track record of developing and implementing robust operational processes, governance frameworks, and controls.
  • Financial acumen: Experience managing large programme budgets, financial tracking, forecasts, and supplier payment processes.
  • People skills: Excellent stakeholder management capabilities with a sharp attention to detail and strong risk management skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the process: Develop, maintain, and own programme processes, operating procedures, and best practices across international workstreams.
  • Drive compliance: Ensure all programmes strictly adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations, local market requirements, and governance frameworks.
  • Manage suppliers: Oversee supplier relationships, vendor onboarding, and operational delivery for high-volume global healthcare programmes.
  • Oversee financials: Support programme budgeting, financial reconciliation, and reporting metrics while leading review meetings with leadership.
  • Lead and mentor: Manage a growing team, starting with one direct report and scaling up as the programme expands.

Why You'll Love It:

  • Competitive package: An attractive salary of £55,000 to £60,000 plus an annual performance-based bonus.
  • Comprehensive health & wellness: Private healthcare, mental and physical wellbeing services, in-house mental health first aiders, yearly health checks, and discounted gym memberships.
  • Generous time off: 32 days holiday (including bank holidays and a 3-day Christmas shutdown) plus a work-from-anywhere program.
  • Continuous growth: Tailored development plans, structured career pathing, and a supportive onboarding plan to help you thrive.

The Ideal Fit:

This position would suit an experienced Pharma Producer, agency professional, or healthcare event specialist who has built deep regulatory expertise and now wants a high-impact, process-driven leadership role without the burnout of constant travel.
