This is more than just a job. It's a mission.

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Delivery Team, supporting some of the UK's most important and complex customer missions.

As a Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery, financial performance, stakeholder engagement and team leadership across a portfolio of specialist programmes. You will work closely with customers, technical experts and business leaders to drive delivery excellence, help solve complex challenges and identify opportunities for future growth.

This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact by leading delivery activities that directly contribute to national security, defence and mission success. You'll have the autonomy to influence strategy, improve ways of working and support the growth of both our customers and Northrop Grumman UK's capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the successful delivery of medium-scale, high-impact projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
  • Own project financial performance, including forecasting, budget management, profitability and commercial governance.
  • Build, coach and support high-performing teams, creating an environment where collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation thrive.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change control processes, ensuring potential delivery challenges are proactively mitigated.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across customer organisations and Northrop Grumman UK, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for future growth.
  • Apply agile, lean and project management best practices to improve delivery performance and drive successful mission outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects or programmes within a complex customer environment.
  • Strong project management capabilities including planning, forecasting, risk management, resource management and governance.
  • Experience managing project finances, commercial performance and profitability.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with customers, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working within Agile, Lean, Scrum or similar delivery methodologies.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering work within defence, national security, central government, mission systems or highly regulated environments.
  • Understanding of fixed price and time & materials contracts.
  • Knowledge of audit processes, commercial lifecycles and project mobilisation activities.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Formal project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, MSP, PMP or equivalent.

We know that everyone brings different experiences and perspectives. Even if you don't meet every requirement listed above, we encourage you to apply. Your skills and potential may make you a great fit for this role.
