The role
Make a difference through insight, assurance and continuous improvement
We're looking for a Performance & Assurance Engineer to help us understand how our assets, processes and ways of working are performing, and identify where we can improve.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, spotting trends and turning information into meaningful recommendations. You'll play an important part in helping the delivery unit maintain high standards of assurance and compliance, while supporting improvements in performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency.
You don't need to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone with an analytical mindset, an eye for detail and the confidence to work collaboratively with colleagues to understand issues and help find practical solutions.
What you'll do
In this varied role, you'll:
- Monitor assurance activities, including staff surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks, identifying trends and areas requiring attention.
- Analyse and report on asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency, turning data into clear and useful insights.
- Make evidence-based recommendations to help improve business performance and support management decision-making.
- Monitor Non-Conformance Reports, helping to ensure actions are progressed and closed within agreed timescales.
- Manage the process for submitting, monitoring and closing out Non Compliances.
- Support investigations into incidents and performance or compliance-related failures, helping identify opportunities for learning and improvement.
- Track business performance improvement initiatives, providing clear progress updates and highlighting where further action may be needed.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote effective assurance, compliance and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
We'd love to hear from you if you...
- Enjoy analysing information and using it to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Can communicate your findings clearly to different audiences.
- Are organised and comfortable managing actions through to completion.
- Have strong attention to detail while still being able to see the bigger picture.
- Enjoy working collaboratively and building positive relationships with others.
- Are curious, proactive and confident making recommendations based on evidence.
This role is about more than producing reports. Your analysis will help turn performance and assurance information into actions that can improve the way the business operates.
We want to hear from people with different experiences, perspectives and backgrounds. If the opportunity interests you but you don't meet every point, we'd still encourage you to consider applying. Transferable skills and the ability to learn can be just as valuable as experience gained in a similar role.
