The role
***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY***
We're looking for a Facilities Manager for the properties across South Lincolnshire. The role will be primarily based at Belton House but will also include responsibility for additional properties in the local area - Woolsthorpe Manor, Grantham House
A very exciting and varied role managing a budget and team of facilities co-ordinators across South Lincolnshire ensuring each property is maintained, compliant and able to open to the public. Each location is unique and will require a bespoke approach to planned and reactive maintenance and compliance attention.
Although the role will be based largely at Belton there will be a requirement to visit the other two properties on a regular basis, to spend time with the property teams and ensure works are being delivered to the required levels and standards.
What it's like to work here
This quintessential English country house is a busy and vibrant place to be. Last year Belton House welcomed 500,000 visitors through its doors and numbers are growing fast. Belton House has opportunities across all areas so, if you are enthusiastic and committed to making this popular property the best it can be, the team would love to hear from you.

Woolsthorpe Manor is one of the most important sites not only within the National Trust but in the UK - the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton and where he conducted most of his scientific and mathematic theories. A 16th century manor house set within a 12 acre site containing various outbuildings and of course the World famous Newton Tree which welcomes over 35000 visitors a year.
Grantham House is a Georgian townhouse set within 5 acres of walled gardens, in the town of Grantham. Recently opened to the public as a freely accessible site as part of the Trusts new strategy.
What you'll be doing
As our Facilities Manager, you'll be leading all planned preventative, reactive and small projects across each property. You'll also be involved in the day-to-day running of capital works projects.
A vital part of the role is being the gatekeeper for all compliance tasks, ensuring teams at each property complete tasks to their required standards.
You'll lead and manage a large facilities team, who are responsible for maintaining high standards throughout all areas visited by people, including staff and volunteers.
You'll also form strong links with your fellow heads of department, and work together to improve things and use resources efficiently. You'll be part of the duty manager team, which means that you'll be on a rota as an occasional duty manager.
