Summary

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY PLEASE***

We're looking for a Mid-Level Giving Lead to join our team for three-days a week and support us to bring 'brilliant basics' to life and help drive us forward.

We're focusing on reviewing our communications and supporter journeys with donors; making sure they understand the impact of their gift - and feeling part of a community. You'll be able to engage with different audiences; taking that personal approach, as well as sending emails out to all of our supporters. You'll use your creative thinking and problem-solving skills to work with others to establish and implement new ideas, ensuring we're set up to achieve key targets.

What it's like to work here

You'll be supporting the delivery of our mid-level programme and products (including National Trust Patrons). This is a job share, so you'll be working with another Mid-Level Giving Lead, to support the Mid-Level Giving Manager, ensuring the programme is developed to grow income from our £1k - £25k audience.

As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We'll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week. If you'd like to discuss this in more detail, please reach out to Head of Individual Giving - Kimberley.hudson@nationaltrust.org.uk

What you'll be doing

You'll help monitor performance, highlighting data and insight to identify opportunities and update key stakeholders. Working with the Mid-Level Giving Manager, you'll support the delivery of stewardship activity and help develop more personalised communications based on supporters' giving levels and preferences.

Putting supporters at the heart of everything we do, you may work with colleagues across legacy, philanthropy, data and donor engagement teams to create meaningful experiences that strengthen relationships and encourage long-term support. From helping to refresh patron events and manage renewal campaigns to reviewing welcome packs, thank you letters and annual reports, you'll play a key role in enhancing the supporter journey.

You can view the full role profile and additional context sheet for this role in the documents attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what's possible in this role. Please consider the above as guidelines for your application.

Who we're looking for
  • Fundraising experience welcome, but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Ability to personalise communications, help build a strategic approach to building relationships
  • Project management experience
  • An articulate and confident manner with the ability to build relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels - understanding who to work with to get things done.
  • Experience of successfully managing and developing supporter relationships over time.
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset, you'll be a self-starter with a high level of self-motivation and be able to prioritise workload in a dynamic environment.
The package

We welcome and value difference, so when we say we're for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
