The role

Summary
As our Facilities Manager, you'll play a vital role in looking after our buildings and facilities, helping to create safe, welcoming and sustainable places for everyone. You'll lead operational support services across (site named or property group) ensuring our sites are well cared for and fit for the future.
What it's like to work here
You'll report to the General Manager and will play an important part of the Senior Leadership team on property. You'll manage two members of staff and oversee a team of facilities volunteers.
The Vyne attracts over 200,000 visitors a year and as parts of the property are over 500 years old this role plays an important part in ensuring that the facilities on property stand up to welcoming all of these visitors onto property. No two days are the same, one minute you will be ensuring that the fire alarm system is fully compliant, the next checking that the renewable energy system is functioning correctly, and then arranging spill kit training for all staff.
You'll play a key part in ensuring that the facilities department, whilst also supporting other departments, play a key part in the Trust's new strategy. This role will also play a key part in managing the day-to-day visitor business, both in supporting the operation to function fully and also in Being a Duty Manager as part of a rota.
The Vyne team has a "can do" attitude with a supportive network of staff and volunteers around you.

This grand yet intimate family home is a treasure trove of rare artefacts, and we welcome people who can help bring The Vyne's unique heritage to life. The property's many attractions include a second-hand bookshop, two-floor café housed in a 17th century brew house and a working kitchen garden which provides delicious seasonal produce for visitors to purchase. You'll need passion and commitment to work at this fascinating property, however the variety and challenge of being part of the team offers many rewards.
