The role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Gallery Security Services Manager to play a key role in delivering a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, contractors, and world-class collection. This is an exciting opportunity for a security professional who combines operational expertise with strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a commitment to excellent service.

About the Role

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Fire Risk Manager, you will support the delivery of security services across the Gallery, ensuring that security policies, procedures, and standards are consistently applied. You will oversee contracted security providers, maintain specialist security systems, support incident management and investigations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security operations.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors, emergency services, and external stakeholders, you will help ensure that the Gallery remains compliant with relevant security requirements while maintaining an exceptional visitor experience.

About You

You will be a confident and professional security manager with experience operating in a complex, public-facing environment.

This role operates within a 7-day rota and will require weekend working, with occasional out-of-hours support as operational needs dictate.

If you are passionate about security, operational excellence, and helping protect one of the UK's most important cultural assets while delivering an outstanding visitor experience, we would love to hear from you.
