Management Accountant in Manchester

As a Management Accountant your core role will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts and financial analysis for a newly acquired entity which is circa £30 million turnover. You will also play a key role in developing financial forecasts and budgets and improving processes.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Lead month-end close activities for designated business areas
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records
• Analyse monthly financial performance against budget and forecast, and provide detailed commentary and insights into key variances and business drivers
• Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles
• Monitor financial performance against targets and proactively identify risks and opportunities
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Strong management accounting experience
• Excellent attention to detail
