What we're looking for

  • Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang) - exposure to GO as a minimum.
  • Excellent TypeScript development skills and experience with React and JavaScript.
  • Experience building backend services and working with REST APIs.
  • Strong SQL database experience, ideally PostgreSQL.
  • Commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • The ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously.

The role

Full Stack Software Engineer | Go | TypeScript | React | GCP | Outside IR35

We're partnering with an established UK organisation looking for an experienced Technical Lead / Senior Software Engineer to support the ongoing development of a business-critical application.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on technical specialist to take ownership of complex development challenges, provide technical leadership within a small team and work closely with stakeholders to turn business requirements into effective technical solutions.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and enhancement of backend services using Go (Golang) and TypeScript.
  • Build and maintain frontend applications using React and JavaScript.
  • Design, develop and maintain APIs and integrations.
  • Work with PostgreSQL databases and existing application architectures.
  • Support applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Contribute to deployment processes and infrastructure, including Google Cloud Build and Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical direction and support to other developers.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements, challenge assumptions and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of ongoing development and improvements beyond go-live.
