Head Of Engineering

We're partnering with a growing investment technology business that is transforming how investors access specialist financial products.

They are looking for a hands-on Head of Engineering to lead the evolution of their internal technology capability across multiple investment platforms.

This is not a traditional management role.

You'll remain close to the technology, designing, building and deploying solutions while shaping the firm's technology roadmap and mentoring a growing team of developers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the technology roadmap across multiple strategic initiatives
• Design, build and deploy production software
• Lead architecture decisions and engineering best practice
• Drive CI/CD and development environments
• Mentor and coach junior developers
• Support AI and automation initiatives
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business
• Manage relationships with key technology partners and vendors

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong Python development expertise
• Experience delivering production systems
• Hands-on engineering leadership background
• DevOps and CI/CD knowledge
• Experience mentoring engineers
• Ability to operate in a small, highly collaborative team
