The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and guest-focused Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our Accommodation team. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver exceptional stays within our luxury properties, leading the day-to-day operation and ensuring every guest receives a positive, safe and memorable experience.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will support the smooth daily running of Longleat's accommodation operation. You will be a key point of contact for guests, responding to queries, anticipating their needs and coordinating with colleagues across the business to resolve issues quickly and minimise disruption to their stay.
You will lead and support the Accommodation team, manage rotas, time and attendance, and contribute to recruitment, one-to-ones, return-to-work interviews and performance reviews. You will also oversee external contractors and work closely with the Facilities team and other departments.
This is a varied, hands-on role in which priorities can change quickly. You will combine excellent organisation with visible leadership and a genuine commitment to creating an outstanding guest experience.
About you:
- Experience working within accommodation or the hospitality industry.
- A strong track record of delivering excellent customer service to a range of guests.
- Experience of leading, motivating and supporting a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships.
- Strong organisational and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- A proactive, detail-focused approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A flexible, can-do attitude, including the ability to work rotating shifts and use initiative when working independently.
About your contract
You will be employed on a salaried contract, working 40 hours per week over 5 days, including bank holidays and weekends.
