What we're looking for

This role of Section Engineer (Geotechnical) is great for you if:

You hold an academic qualification at Level 3 or above (HNC, HND, or Degree)
You have demonstrable experience in various geotechnical applications such as drilling, grouting, anchor installation, inspection and testing
You have a good standard of IT skills including CAD and BIM systems
You are familiar with Quality Management Systems and writing RAMS
You hold CSCS White PQP/AQP and SMSTS qualifications

The role

We're looking for a Section Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our KierBAM Joint Venture team based in Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard.

KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall, currently delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We're seeking a Section Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our team working in this live MOD facility. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a significant infrastructure project in a unique and challenging environment.

What you'll do

As a Section Engineer (Geotechnical), you'll be working within the KierBAM Joint Venture team, supporting them in delivering this important redevelopment project. Your day to day will include:

Managing the preparation of as-built drawings and establishing effective systems to record work completed
Assisting in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, including drilling, grouting and anchoring
Providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered
Taking responsibility for setting out works and providing dimensional control to ensure accurate construction
Preparing sketches for distribution on site and maintaining clear communication channels for effective understanding
