Senior Buyer

Location: Beaconsfield, Oxfordshire

At InHealth, we're on a mission to Make Healthcare Better. As the UK's largest specialist diagnostic provider, we support millions of patients each year through our partnerships with the NHS and healthcare organisations across the UK.

We're looking for an experienced Procurement Senior Buyer to support the delivery of strategic sourcing and procurement activity across a range of clinical and non-clinical categories. Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, you will take ownership of assigned spend areas, acting as the primary procurement lead for key business functions and working closely with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value, compliance and continuity of supply.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of 2-3 days per week based at our Beaconsfield office, alongside national travel as required.

This role is ideally suited to a procurement professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, driving commercial outcomes, and identifying opportunities to improve value across a complex organisation.

What You Will Do

  • Lead sourcing activities, including market research, supplier evaluation, tender processes and contract awards.
  • Develop procurement and category strategies for assigned spend areas.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance and procurement efficiency opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and support effective procurement planning.
  • Analyse spend, supplier and market data to support strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Produce business cases, procurement reports and savings tracking information.
  • Support supplier onboarding, due diligence, risk management and governance activities.
  • Promote procurement best practice, sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant legislation, governance frameworks and organisational policies.

About You

You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for delivering value.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience within procurement, sourcing and category management roles.
  • Demonstrable success in delivering proactive cost savings, value improvement initiatives and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships across multiple categories and business areas.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and basic modelling.
  • Experience using purchase order management systems and procurement tools.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • CIPS Level 3 qualified (or above), with a commitment to continued professional development.
  • Degree-level education (or equivalent experience).
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.

Most importantly, you'll share InHealth's values of Trust, Passion, Care and Creativity, helping us deliver outstanding services for patients, partners and colleagues while continuing our mission to make healthcare better.
