Data Scientist - Contract/Permanent (UK Hybrid)
I am working with a technology client who is looking for a Data Scientist to join them on a contract or permanent basis.
This role focuses on analysing complex structured and unstructured datasets, building and deploying predictive models, and delivering actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.
You'll work closely with engineering and business teams to develop end-to-end machine learning solutions, from data exploration through to model development, evaluation, and deployment support.
Key technical requirements:

Strong experience in Python or R for data analysis and modelling
Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and applied data science methods
Proficiency in SQL and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Experience with data visualisation tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly
Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into actionable insights

Nice to have:

Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, Hive, or Hadoop
Exposure to cloud ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, or Azure ML
Experience with Git and ML workflow automation / MLOps practices
Commercial awareness and experience applying data science to real-world business problems
