Data Engineer - Contract/Permanent (UK Hybrid)

IC Resources is working with a technology client looking for a Data Engineer to join them on a contract or permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud-based data platforms supporting analytics and machine learning workloads.
You'll be responsible for building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and helping to optimise data accessibility and performance across the platform.

Key technical requirements:

Strong SQL and relational database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
Experience with Airflow, dbt, or similar data pipeline tools
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Strong Python, Java, or Scala development skills
ETL, data modelling, and data warehousing experience
Git and CI/CD workflow experience

Nice to have:

Kafka or Kinesis
Docker and Kubernetes
Apache Spark
Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
