What we're looking for

  • Recent, hands-on SQL experience is essential.
  • Solid experience in data profiling, reconciliation, mapping and data quality analysis.
  • Good understanding of APIs, integrations and end-to-end data flows.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge requirements independently.
  • Experience across Financial Crime, AML, Transaction Monitoring, Enterprise Risk or GRC.
  • Financial Services or another highly regulated industry background.

Nice to have

Desirable: Snowflake, Power BI, GRC platforms, data governance, regulatory remediation and Wealth/Investment Management experience.

This role would suit a technically strong BA who can operate confidently with senior business stakeholders whilst remaining genuinely hands-on with data analysis.

The role

I'm looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a major Risk and Financial Crime transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation.

This is an INSIDE IR35 Hybrid contract for 9 months, with 2 days per week on-site.

This is a hands-on role combining strong business analysis and stakeholder management with the ability to independently investigate complex data and integration issues using SQL.

What you'll do

  • Work with senior stakeholders to shape, challenge and define business and technical requirements.
  • Use SQL hands-on to investigate datasets, identify data quality issues and perform reconciliations.
  • Analyse system integrations, APIs, data flows and source-to-target mappings.
  • Translate technical findings into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with Risk, Financial Crime, Architecture and Data Engineering teams.
  • Strong Senior Technical BA experience within complex technology or data transformation programmes.
