The role

GreenGenUK is expanding again across Devon and Cornwall, and we're looking for talented electricians to join one of the South West's leading renewable energy installation teams.

Established in 2011 and now part of the Hometree Group, GreenGenUK delivers award-winning renewable energy projects across domestic and commercial sectors. Our electricians work on some of the most varied and interesting projects in the region, combining traditional electrical skills with the latest renewable technologies.

One day you could be installing a Tesla Powerwall battery system. The next, wiring an air source heat pump and commissioning a renewable heating system, or even connecting a large scale commercial solar installation in a factory or hospital.

If you're looking to develop your career beyond standard domestic electrical work, we'd love to hear from you.

We are also interested in speaking with ambitious apprentice or trainee electricians who are in the second or third year of their qualification and want to build a long-term career in renewables.

What you'll do

  • Installing Tesla Powerwall and Fox battery storage systems

  • Wiring and commissioning air source heat pumps

  • Installing EV charging equipment

  • Solar PV installations ranging from domestic homes to commercial rooftops

  • Testing, inspection and certification

  • Fault finding and diagnostics

  • Consumer unit upgrades

  • Supporting large-scale commercial renewable energy projects

No two weeks are the same.

Our customers range from homeowners living in 500-year-old Cornish cottages and cutting-edge passive houses, through to factories, car dealerships, schools, farms, offices and NHS facilities.

We focus on delivering high-quality installations directly for end users, where customer service, workmanship and pride in the finished product really matter.

How you'll work

Location: Ideally based within 45 minutes of Exeter (Mid Devon, East Devon, Teignbridge, South Hams and surrounding areas)

Job Type: Full Time

Apprentices & Trainees

  • Ideally in the second or third year of an electrical apprenticeship

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Interest in renewable energy technologies

  • Professional attitude and attention to detail

  • Driving Licence

Renewables experience is desired but not essential if other heating or domestic electrical experience is available. Full training and support will be provided to help the right candidates develop into renewable energy specialists.

Ready for a New Challenge?

If you're looking for more variety, more responsibility and the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting technologies in the electrical industry, we'd love to hear from you.

Send your CV to sales@greengenuk.com or call 01326 564513 for an informal conversation.
