Drivers Mate

Here at GXO Coventry we are looking for Drivers Mate to join our transport team, supporting our customer Halfords. You'll play a key part in keeping the supply chain flowing smoothly in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

• Assist the driver with multidrop deliveries, supporting up to 6 drops per shift and helping to collect returns from stores in line with operational needs
• Help with the safe and efficient handling of palletised goods and cages, including loading and unloading at each delivery point
• Maintain clear communication with the driver and Depot Transport Office, ensuring any issues are reported promptly while delivering excellent, courteous customer service
• Support safe and compliant operations by following company procedures and assisting with accurate completion of required paperwork

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an 'any 5 days form 7'pattern, with start time of 18:30, contracted to 48 hours per week.

• Previous experience supporting multidrop deliveries is preferred but not essential
• Strong customer service skills with clear and professional communication
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling and pushing
• Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive and reliable approach to work
