Class 2 Driver

At GXO, we're expanding and looking for dedicated drivers to join our energetic team at Dartford, Kent working on our Ikea contract. As a Class 2 Driver you will be delivering furniture for IKEA alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role!

This is a full time, permanent role you will be working 48 hours per week on a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off over an 8-week rota or Monday-Friday with start times between 05:00 - 05:30.

What you will do on a typical day

• Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes and providing a first-class customer service experience
• Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly secured
• Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies
• Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects

What you need to succeed at GXO

• This is a physically demanding role which includes lifting and shifting of furniture
• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
• Previous experience driving category C vehicles is desirable
• DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
